F1 22 is a great game for racing enthusiasts. It offers lifelike simulation and features Virtual Reality compatibility to make your experience more immersive. However, the game also becomes increasingly difficult whether you are a newbie or racking wins to move up the ladder.

The steep curves on the track and competition from other drivers can be challenging. Fortunately, Codemasters has included various Assists to help you in the game. The Assist feature makes good AI in F1 22. Let’s take a closer look at this amazing feature.

Follow these simple steps to turn on the Assists features in your game.

  • Head to the Main Menu and select the ‘Settings’ tab. You can also alter settings while in-game. Just hit pause and repeats the mentioned steps.
  • Once in the Assists menu, you choose different assists settings to toggle them on or off.

From Driving Proficiency to Break Assist and even Pit Release Assist. You can choose which settings to keep on depending on your skill and experience in the game. There are no specific settings which work for all and players need to have a feel for the game to tinker with options.

While many assist settings are helpful for inexperienced drivers, some are quite annoying and might worsen your driving. We recommend switching Steering, Braking, ERS and DRS Assists off. These can disrupt your gameplay and make you slow on track. You can also play around with Drift assist to see what fits you best.
