Pikachu can be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands near the Nature’s Pantry location or in the Golden Lowlands of the Crimson Mirelands.
To capture a Pikachu, there is no need to be concerned about the weather or the time of day when attempting . Just find a Pikachu and approach it from behind. To catch it, try tossing a Pokeball at it. Pikachu is rather easy to capture, so a standard Pokeball should suffice. However if it gets alerted, you can weaken it and then try again.
You can also capture a Pichu and evolve it into a Pikachu. Pichu and Raichu, like Pikachu, can be found in the game’s Obsidian Fieldlands and Crimson Mirelands areas.
