All Spirits and Ghosts in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed

There are five total terrifying spirits and ghosts in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, which may not seem like a lot at first, but there’s much more to each ghost than meets the eye. Each ghost comes with numerous different variants and customization options, which means you can create as many hauntingly horrific ghosts as your spooky little heart desires! The Ectoplast

The Ectoplast is the first ghost that players will be able to haunt with in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. This ghost has four variants and is largely considered to be a fan favorite, despite its low stats. The Ectoplast has an extra variant that fans are going nuts over; one of the Ectoplast’s variants is the famous Slimer ghost from the original Ghostbusters movie! Who wouldn’t want to play as this slimy little guy if given a chance?? This ghost’s special attributes are:

Positive Attributes:

• Applies more slime per attack hit
• Slime on Busters slows more
• Sliming Busters down is more effective
• Easier tether escape

Negative Attributes:

• Reduced object and trap damage
• Slower sabotage interaction speed

The Ghouly

The Ghouly is the second ghost you’ll be able to haunt with and is largely considered to be the scariest ghost in the game. This thing looks like a spider mixed with a lizard mixed with a nightmare; you really don’t want to be on the receiving end of this spirit’s shenanigans. This terrifying ghoul has three variants, with each one being scarier than the last (if you can believe it). The Ghouly has four arms with each variant and has much better stats than the Ectoplast ghost, especially when it comes to haunting. This spirit’s special attributes are:

Positive Attributes:

• Shorter scare cooldown
• Increased possess/transfer objects distance
• Increase fear damage on civilians getting calmed

Negative Attributes:

• Shorter scare distance
• Harder tether escape

The Basher

The Basher may not look like it’s anything special, but it’s actually one of the toughest ghost types in the game. The Basher is the third type of ghost you’ll be able to haunt around with and has three variants, like the Ghouly. Unlike the Ghouly, however, the Basher has five positive special attributes, instead of only three (not that the Ghouly is any less terrifyingly efficient at haunting!) The Basher’s spookily special attributes are:

Positive Attributes:

• Scare-destroyed objects burst with P.K.E (scares/slimes nearby victims)
• Slower to tether
• Shorter stun duration
• Increased object and trap damage
• More powerful buster knockbacks

Negative Attributes:

• Slower rift detonation
• Tougher trap minigame

The Howler

This big-mouthed ghoul is aptly named and almost unsettling to look at; between the abdominal mouth full of giant, razor-sharp teeth and the shriveled-up gremlin that serves as its head, it’s hard to know what to focus on when facing this spirit head-on! This ghost, like the previous ghosts, has three variants that really don’t help make it look any more approachable (which, in this case, is actually a good thing!). This grisly ghoul’s special attributes are:

Positive Attributes:

• Longer spawned minion lifespan
• Minion health
• Increase scare distance
• Haunted objects make sporadic decoy audio noises

Negative Attributes:

• Tighter scare cone
• Longer scare cooldown

The Poltergeist

Not only is the Poltergeist one of the scariest-looking ghosts in the game, but it’s also the strongest! The Poltergeist is the fifth and final ghost you can unlock and haunt with in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, and it’s well worth the wait. This terrifying ghoul’s stats are completely off the charts, and although it has an extra negative attribute than the other ghosts, the positive attributes it offers make it completely worth it. This monstrously strong ghoul’s special attributes are:

Positive Attributes:

• Passively shocks Busters in close proximity
• Much faster P.K.E regeneration inside electronic-based objects
• More effective proton pack sabotage
• Increased trap and gadget damage

Negative Attributes:

• Easier to tether
• Greater pack sabotage cost
• Longer stun period
