Bethesda’s hit RPG from 2011 is still a great game to play in 2022. The game puts you into the shoes of a criminal with a mysterious background. Eventually, you learn that you’re the Dragonborn, a being with the body of a mortal and the soul of a dragon. The Dragonborn then embarks on a quest to save the world from destruction. It’s your standard fantasy RPG story but where the game shines is its many sidequests and open-world design.
You’ll find yourself doing things such as sneaking into a mansion to join the Thieves Guild (Related: How to Sell Stolen Items Without Joining the Thieves Guild in Skyrim: Elder Scrolls V) or killing a woman who runs an orphanage to join the Dark Brotherhood. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Although Marvel’s Avengers is a pretty disappointing game, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is not. The game is a fun romp through the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe starring all of your favorite Guardians characters such as Star-Lord, Drax, Gamora, Groot, and Cosmo. The game only lets you control Star-Lord but you’re able to command the other Guardians in combat. This allows you to create some devastating combos which will earn you high rankings from the game’s Devil May Cry-like ranking system.
If you’re a fan of the Guardians movies, you’ll be happy to know that this game retains many elements from them the biggest being a licensed soundtrack. There is also original 80s hair metal music made specifically for the game. The story sees the Guardians racing to save the galaxy from destruction and contains a lot of serious, emotional story beats that will have you thinking you’re watching an MCU film. If you can only play a few games via Xbox Cloud Gaming, make sure Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is one of them.
Skate 3

For a decade, Skate 3 was the last major skateboarding game that was actually good. The reason why is because of its great gameplay. Unlike most skateboarding games, Skate 3 uses thumbsticks for its controls. To do an ollie, you’d move the left stick down and move the right stick down as well. Other tricks are performed by moving the sticks in a variety of directions. At first, this will be challenging, but once you get used to it, you’ll be kickflipping over trash cans in no time.
Players who pick up Skate 3 will spend their time in freeskate or in the campaign. You’ll spend your time in the campaign completing challenges and winning competitions as you try to help your company sell a million skateboards. In addition to all of this, there’s an online component that features its own set of challenges and modes full of content. Skate 3 is the best choice for an extreme sports game right now on Xbox Cloud Gaming. Once you master its challenging controls, you’ll become a skateboarding master.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

EA’s Star Wars games have been hit or miss but Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is anything but a miss. This Dark Souls-like adventure takes place in the period between Star Wars Episode III and IV and follows Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan on the run from Inquisitors. Inquisitors serve the Empire and hunt down the galaxy’s remaining Jedi. Cal spends the game slicing his way through stormtroopers and monsters as he attempts to evade capture.
The game features a combat system that fans familiar with From Software’s games will enjoy. It has a focus on strategy as your stamina meter depletes with each movement forcing you to carefully plan all of your attacks. This combined with its Metroid-inspired map design makes it the perfect choice for anyone who wants a game that is both fun and challenging. With its sequel coming next year, now is the perfect time to try it out on Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Mass Effect: Legendary Edition

The Mass Effect series blew gamer’s minds in 2007 when Mass Effect was released. More than ten years later, each game in the series along with their respective DLC was made available thanks to the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. Mass Effect is an RPG that puts players in the shoes of Commander Shephard, a space soldier who commands his own ship
The series sees Shephard and his crewmates evolve and grow as the player makes decisions that can impact future events. While traveling across the galaxy, Shephard encounters hostile forces that can be disposed of using the game’s plethora of abilities and weapons. A lot of these are locked to specific character classes which can be chosen at the start of the game. Those who play through the entire trilogy will see the universe greatly affected by their decisions. A new Mass Effect game is in development, so Xbox Cloud Gaming might be the best way to catch up before it is released.
