We all need a change of scenery now and then. That’s why if your current home is getting a bit stale in The Sims 4, it might be time to move houses. The good news is that you can move houses with your family and furniture as long as the price is within your budget. You can even relocate to a new household in another world. All of which we will demonstrate in this guide. So, if you’re wondering how to move into a fresh new home, keep reading to find out!
How to Move Houses in The Sims 4
To move houses in The Sims 4, go into your phone menu and select “Move Household”. This will take you to the world screen, where you can now relocate your Sim and their family to any other house on the map. You do that by simply clicking on the house you want to move into and selecting the moving truck icon. Furthermore, by clicking the world icon in the upper left corner of the screen, you can look at houses in any of the other worlds too.
Some homes will already be occupied, while others will not. You can move into either, but there is some planning required. If you move into an unoccupied house, your Sims will have to pay full price. So, if you decide to move into an empty house, ensure you have the cash saved up for it first. However, the story’s different if you want to move houses into one that already has a family occupying it.
If a family is already living in a house, you want to move into, you have two options. You can either evict the family or merge households with them. If you decide to evict the family, you’ll have to pay full price for the property. However, if you decide to merge households with them, then you won’t have to pay anything. You can always evict them later once you’ve saved up enough money.
