NieR Replicant Ver.1.22474487139 quickly made gamers discover some frustrating glitches. In other words, the game does not perform well with high refresh rate monitors and unlocked frame rates, let alone some other stimuli. But fans have released a few mods to address these issues, so you can fully focus on hacking, logging, and thrills.

One of the most frequently reported issues with NieR Replicant is how it handles higher frame rates. Those who have monitors with high refresh rates and monitors that play over 60 frames per second find that game animations speed up alongside them. When playing the game at 120fps, the character will glide rapidly at a distorted speed. Other issues include the constant resurgence of the mouse cursor when playing with the controller and a drop in frame rate when the controller is inserted or disconnected.

Fortunately, if you are a victim of the NieR Replicator problem, the modifier can help. There is a special “Kaldaien” K tool (must, stamina, grain, joke), which eliminates the mouse cursor problem, allows you to set your own frame rate limit, disable the game’s V-Sync, etc. Special K is also an important tool to repair the PC version of NieR Automata, so it’s great to see it returned successfully. Lastly, proper NieR Replicant High FPS correction lets you run the game at over 60fps without weird animation issues.

I have been breathing NieR Replicant for review (I will literally write about it after this) and have not encountered high frame rate issues. Do I think I’m lucky so far? But I ran into a problem with the mouse cursor popping up (not a big problem for me), and strange frame rate drops when connecting and disconnecting the controller. Oh, in the early days of my game, one crashed on the desktop, but nothing happened after that.

To be honest, this is basically a good thing for me. If this whole mod business sounds too demanding, you can wait for Square Enix to patch NieR Replicant. Although, who knows how long it will take, it was only four years after Square Enix started solving the NieR Automata Steam launch issue.
