Subnautica below zero

Subnautica: Below Zero once again repopulates its ocean and new Arctic biome with many terrifying predators who will attack the player without hesitation. One of the key biomes in the game is the crystal cave. This area is critical in the final stage, so it presents some of the toughest predatory and environmental hazards that players need to be prepared to deal with.

How to Reach the Crystal Caves

Before delving into the dangers hidden in the crystal cave, it is necessary to understand how to get there and the purpose of venturing into the dangerous biome. There are two entrances to the crystal cave. One is near Marguerit Maida’s Base in the Tree Spires biome, and the other can be found below the Deep Purple Vents through a wide dark cave.

The depth of the crystal cave is between 480 and 840 meters, so please make sure that the vehicle is equipped with the appropriate depth upgrade to survive the journey. For example, Seatruck will need to be equipped with its maximum depth upgrade, called Seatruck Depth Upgrade MK3.

To craft the Seatruck Depth Upgrade MK3, the following items are needed:

  • 1x Kyanite
  • 3x Nickel Ore
  • 1x Plasteel Ingot
  • 1x Seatruck Depth Upgrade MK2

What to do in the Crystal Caves

One of the main reasons to visit the crystal cave is to reach the crystal cave cache. Caché is located in the depths of the Crystal Castle portion of the caves at a depth of 820 meters. To find the Crystal Castle, look for a small cave system where the morganite formation is larger than the rest of the area. PC gamers using coordinates can find the cache at 517-828-696. Crystal Caves Stash is the key to completing the game because it contains the organ parts of Al-An’s body. The Crystal Caves also contain the only entrance to the Fabricator Caverns, which has the Fabricator Base.
