Case 04: The Masquerade is a crucial mission in Gotham Knights that reveals major plot points furthering the storyline with the Court of Owls. During this mission, you’ll reach a tense point where you need to solve the “Masquerade puzzle” in order to continue pursuing the suspect at hand. The only issue is that the puzzle has proven to be difficult for some players. That is why, in this guide, we will explain how to solve the Masquerade puzzle without revealing any spoilers pertaining to the mission.

How to Solve The Masquerade Puzzle in Gotham Knights

To solve the Masquerade Puzzle in Gotham Knights, you must step on each of the statue’s floor plates in the correct order. All of these statues are Gotham City landmarks. The correct order is based on the dates each landmark was built, starting from the oldest to the most recent. The dates of the four landmarks in order are 1836, 1841, 1842, and 1877. The Landmarks, in order of those dates, are City Hall, GCPD Central, the Courthouse, and lastly, the Gotham Cathedral.

So, to solve the puzzle, you need to step on each of the statue’s floor plates in the order listed above. If you’re having trouble telling these landmarks apart, simply stand in front of each of them for about five seconds. Your character will then give you a voice line, telling what each landmark is. Once you’ve identified each landmark, simply walk over the floor plates in front of them in the correct order. Again, the correct order is City Hall, GCPD Central, the Courthouse, and lastly, the Gotham Cathedral.

While it may appear to be simple now, deciphering these dates on your own can be tiresome. Particularly since the Masquerade puzzle appears at an exciting point in the mission. However, now that you know how to finish it, you can continue with the mission and see what happens next in the story.
