Destiny 2 Feeding Frenzy is one of the game’s more popular perks. It’s not an S-tier perk by any stretch, but it does see some use in particular god rolls. It’s been used a lot more since Season of Plunder, though, thanks to the introduction of Voltshot – a phenomenal perk that benefits from Feeding Frenzy.

We’re going to go over Destiny 2’s Feeding Frenzy perk in detail, explaining what it does and why it’s so good.

Destiny 2’s Feeding Frenzy perk is an ammo-economy perk that increases your reload speed based on how many kills you get prior to reloading. It’s generally considered to be an A-tier perk and sees use in a handful of specific, niche god rolls when something like Subsistence isn’t available – or the roll has a perk that activates on reload, like Kill Clip or Voltshot.

When you get a kill with a weapon that has Feeding Frenzy – you get a stack of its buff. Each kill in a short space of time increases your stack, up to five. Each stack of Feeding Frenzy progressively increases your reload speed:

  • 1 Stack – +10 reload speed.
  • 2 Stacks – + 45 reload speed.
  • 3 Stacks – +55 reload speed.
  • 4 Stacks – +70 reload speed.
  • 5 Stacks – +100 reload speed.

So, at five stacks, your reload speed is significantly faster than it is by default. As a result, any other perks that activate on reload suddenly become much more viable. Perks like Voltshot and Multikill Clip work great with it – but only in PvE. In PvP, you’re never getting more than one or two kills in rapid succession – and two stacks of Feeding Frenzy won’t matter that much.

Feeding Frenzy is one of the better support perks in Destiny 2 – particularly for PvE. So, consider running it on your next god roll.
