destiny-2-fighting-lion-|-how-to-get

Not only is the Fighting Lion one of the more cool-looking weapons in Destiny 2, but with the right setup, it can also be one of the most effective weapons in the game. This Exotic grenade launcher is capable of launching projectiles that will bounce off obstacles and won’t detonate until you release the fire button. Evidently, that makes this weapon very useful for clearing out waves of enemies or dealing high damage to tankier opponents. So, if you want to know how to get the Fighting Lion, read on to find out how!

How to Get Fighting Lion in Destiny 2

You can get the Fighting Lion in Destiny 2 as a random drop from weekly and daily challenges, from Exotic Engrams, or you can purchase the weapon from Xur. Now, since getting the weapon as a drop or from Exotic Engrams is a rather rare chance, completely reliant on RNG, you’ll most likely want to buy the grenade launcher from Xur if you’re not patient enough. However, that will still require some luck as Xur only pops up on the weekends, between Fridays and Tuesdays. Furthermore, even though Xur exclusively offers Legendary and Exotic items, you’ll have to chance that the Fighting Lion is up for purchase when you visit him. As what he sells week-to-week does change.

So, all in all, obtaining the Fighting Lion in Destiny 2 requires no shortage of luck. However, with some patience, and as long as you keep exhausting the methods to acquire the weapon, you’ll have it in due time. The more difficult part is obtaining the Fighting Lion Catalyst. As you can only get this weapon’s Catalyst as a rare chance drop from any non-guardian enemy. That’s arguably a much more difficult drop to come across than the weapon itself.

The Fighting Lions Catalyst gives this weapon the potential to be one of the most effective in the game. This Catalyst grants the grenade launcher a special perk called Chimera. After firing the fighting lion, all equipped Kinetic and Power-based weapons gain a three-second boost in handling and accuracy. So, with the proper setup, you can open up engagements with the Fighting Lion. Then swiftly transition to your secondary Kinetic or Power-based weapon to quickly finish off the rest of the enemies.
