Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart raritanium is a something you will find a lot in the adventures of Ratchet, Rivit and co, but how does it work and how to get more? It is a persistent mechanic in the entire series, and Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart are no exception, although if you are new to the game, it may make you feel a little confused. This is all you need to know about Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart raritanium.

From the moment you start the game in Megalopolis, you can find raritanium. This is bright blue glass sticking out of some of the crates you found. Just like ordinary crates with bolts, health or ammunition, you can smash them with a wrench or hammer to pick them up. However, as the name suggests, it is less than the usual crates, so if you find it, you will definitely want to spare no effort to pick it up. If you are close to any raritanium, it will also appear as a small shard icon on your map.

What is the role of raritanium?

Upgrade your weapons! Every time you talk to Ms. Zurkon, switch to the upgrade tab and spend raritanium to upgrade the weapon’s stat boosts and new abilities . If you see the yellow icon, buy all the surrounding tiles to obtain the bonus. Please note that you will not find enough raritanium in the whole story to fully upgrade all your weapons, but you will need to tackle Challenge Mode later (and there may be a third game!) to upgrade all weapons to level 10.

Although it is always worthwhile to explore the inaccessible places of Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, don’t worry about missing any raritanium. On Ardolis, you will find Map-o-Matic, which will show the locations of all the collectibles you haven’t found yet. So step back a bit after you get it and clean up any raritanium that you haven’t found yet.
