Unlocking new areas in Disney Dreamlight Valley is always exciting. Exploring means discovering new faces, questlines, and advancing the game’s storyline. However, not all regions can be unlocked by spending Star Coins. Vines and bones are common roadblocks in most areas. While you’ve probably already dealt with the vines, you’ll need to figure out how to remove the more difficult Wildebeest bones. To do so, you must first upgrade your shovel with the Flower of Bones, which we will show you how to get in this guide.

How to Get Flower of Bones in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To get the Flower of Bones in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you need to reach friendship level 7 with Scar to unlock his quest “The Circle of Life”. During this mission, you are tasked with growing a Flower of Bones. As soon as you start the quest, you’ll have to speak with Mother Gothel. She’ll tell you she needs two ingredients for a potion to upgrade your Royal Shovel. One of those ingredients is Old Bones, which you will turn into the Flower of Bones later on in the quest. The other is Purified Night Shards.

You can find Old Bones in the Vitalys Mines in Sunlit Plateau. Mother Gothel will direct you, saying that as soon as you enter, go left and follow the path until you can take your first right. Then follow this passage until you can take your first left and the Old Bones should be sitting right there. Once you’ve gathered them, return to Scar, who will instruct you to dispose of the bones in his Volcanic Geyser. This will burn the Old Bones into Ashes you collect in return.

Now, you can plant the Old Bone Ashes in Sunlit Plateau and they will grow into the Flower of Bones. Make sure you tend to your crop, as it will need to be watered multiple times to finish growing. Overall, the growth time of Flower of Bones can be anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. Once it’s ready for harvest, you’ll have yourself Flower of Bones. You can now use these and the Purified Night Shards to upgrade your shovel and remove large Wildebeest bones.
