In Cyberpunk 2077, you can have to choose between three different Life Paths for V – Corpo, Nomad or Street Kid. Your choice of Life Path will not only determine which prologue you experience, but will offer dialogue options and other interactions unique to your path.
Alongside attributes, choosing your Life Path is one of the first decisions you’ll make in Cyberpunk 2077, and is an important part in crafting your own character in the world of Night City.
Each life path will provide a unique backstory for your V and provide adjusted playthrough. In summary, the differences between these three life paths are:
- A unique prologue (each segment is approximately 25 minutes long) with different positions and roles to introduce you to the world of Night City.
- In each preface, your understanding or understanding of Jackie Welles will be different.
- Other dialogue options in certain situations throughout the game. For example, “Nomadic Life Path” will allow you to freely obtain information from other members of the nomadic lifestyle and will provide you with more talking points when it comes to vehicles and machinery, things that street kid or Corpo V can never do. At the same time, a V from Corpo Life Path will have more experience dealing with the company and speaking with various company employees.
- Access to side-quests associated with that life path.
Please note that your life path will not affect any of Cyberpunk 2077’s romantic options; will be affected by the body type (and possibly the tone) you decide to use V.
After choosing the path of life when you first start the game, you will be able to customize V according to your own preferences and then assign the first set of stat points to your main attributes. You will get the same amount of statistics. No matter which way of life you choose, you can choose the main points, so feel free to choose the one you like the most.
Guide to choose the right Cyberpunk 2077 Life Path choice
Based on our understanding of the main story advancements to play the game, your choice of life path may allow V to give you more perspectives or advantages in certain dialogues and situations, allowing you to role-play in the context of your choice.
You want to play a certain game, so from a storytelling point of view, the ultimate choice of the best path in life is the most attractive option for you. After the prologue ends, all three paths lead to the same ‘starting’ point after the prologue.
Corpo Life Path in Cyberpunk 2077 guide
If you are interested in corporations operating in most of the world in Cyberpunk 2077, Corpo Life Path is for you. In the prologue, V started out as an employee of Arasaka Corporations and step into world of corporate backstabbing, where Jackie, a trusted friend help you out.
Choosing this life path will provide you with a unique dialogue option with Corpo life path to deal with Arasaka employees and other companies (such as Militech).
This means that, unlike the Nomad or Street Kid life path, you will be able to see the tricks set by corporation employees and even place your own tricks, among other interaction or task-based options. The downside to Corpo Life Path is that you don’t know anything about the streets of the wasteland and the night city, which will make it more difficult to interact with the people who live there.
The ultimate V style is in your hands. It is a mixture of Neomiltarism and Neokitsh.
Nomad Life Path in Cyberpunk 2077 guide
If you choose “Nomad Life” in “Cyberpunk 2077”, you will start the game in the wasteland instead of in “Night City”. The mission in the prologue will revolve around meeting Jackie for the first time, who will help you smuggle contraband goods into Night City checkpoint.
If you are concerned about being stuck in the wasteland for a long time, rest assured that before entering the night city, you only stay there for 30 minutes.
Once there, V’s knowledge of the nomadic lifestyle can be used in a variety of ways, including obtaining information from other nomads, using his experience in the wasteland, and a short talk about vehicles and machinery.
Being a nomad means that V will not have much experience dealing with company employees or employees at the bottom of the night city society. This means that when interacting with these characters, you are unlikely to experience unique dialogue options or optional objectives.
Unlike the other two paths of life, Nomad’s appearance is based on the Entropism art style in the Cyberpunk lore, but once you gain more freedom in Night City, you can make V’s appearance at will.
Street Kid Life Path in Cyberpunk 2077 guide
If you choose “Street Kid Life Path” in “Cyberpunk 2077”, V will grow up in Night City and have experience working in the world of street gangs. The prologue quest sees V, after returning from Atlanta, agree to help out a friend in need. U
nlike the Nomad or Corpo way of life, many gang members in Night City will not regard Street Kid V as an outsider. Instead, you will have access to dialogue options, allowing you to take advantage of V’s knowledge of the gang and its various activities.
In turn, this will give you access to information that other Life Paths might have to earn through violence or hacking. However, you will be at a disadvantage when dealing with nomadic groups or companies.
The life of a street boy begins with a Kitsh feeling, but like other walks of life, V’s final style is up to you.
No matter what lifestyle you choose, I hope you find your way out in the night city!
