conan-exiles-crossplay-|-is-it-cross-platform?

Conan Exiles is an online multiplayer survival game set in the age of Conan the Barbarian. The game originally released in 2017 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Soon after, it was released on next-generation consoles, including the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Because Conan Exiles is available on PC as well as all PlayStation and Xbox consoles, many players are curious if the multiplayer game is cross-platform. You can find the answer to that question just below.

Is Conan Exiles Cross-Platform?

Unfortunately, Conan Exiles is not cross-platform between PC and consoles. That means PC players cannot play the game with their friends on a PlayStation or Xbox console. However, the game does support cross-generation play from PS4 to PS5, as well as Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S. Still, if you’re on PlayStation, you can’t play the game cross-platform with a friend who’s gaming it on an Xbox console.

To add to the unfortunate news, Funcom has repeatedly addressed the question of cross-platform functionality on their Twitter page, with a resounding “no” since release. In fact, they even went as far as to say they’re not planning to add cross-platform play. At this point, it’s safe to assume that cross-platform play most likely will never arrive, and there’s a solid reason as to why.

While Funcom continues to update Conan Exiles, they are also hard at work on their newest open-world survival MMO, Dune: Awakening. This appears to be the sequel to Conan Exiles, with reimagined heights and a push beyond what the previous game accomplished. The game currently does not have a release date, but it is confirmed for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. As to whether Dune: Awakening is or will be cross-platform, there is no answer just yet. So, we’ll just have to wait and see until more news arrives.
